For the Cooks

If you will be cooking at the 2018 EggFest, this page is for you. Your entrance into the event is covered for you and 1 assistant; however, you are responsible to have food samples for the attendees to taste. There are 25 spots available on a first come / first serve basis. Please note that spots fill quickly!



Lighting of the Eggs is at 8:00 am. The gate will be open for cooks at 7:30 am. The general public will be allowed in at 9:00 am. We have made a list of the items that you should consider bringing to the event.

We Will Provide the Following:

  • Large Big Green Egg, (unless another size is requested - Click here to contact us)
  • Egg Nest (Stand)
  • Lump Charcoal
  • Firestarters
  • Table for display and serving
  • Plates and utensils
  • Two chairs
  • ConvEGGtor (if needed)

Ice chests will not be provided

You Should Consider Bringing the Following:

  • Meat / Ingredients / Condiments
  • Small E-Z up Tent for Shade
  • Toothpicks for samples
  • Cooking / Cutting Utensils to use when cooking and preparing
  • Recipe(s) to give out to guests – it’s nice to have these pre-printed to hand out so that you don’t have to repeat yourself.
  • Cooler(s) and ice
  • Hat or some type of head covering
  • RV’s are allowed on site for overnight cooking and stay (no hook ups). Please include in your cooks application if space is required.

Please keep in mind proper food prep issues. We will have prep gloves available, but ice chests will not be provided. Please bring what you need to keep food fresh.

Where Should You Buy Meat?

The Corner Butcher Shop in La Verne, CA is offering a 25% discount to all registered cooks for the event. That is a good saving especially if you are looking for USDA Prime meat. This discount is only good for food being purchased for the event.
